Paul and Maggie were shot “execution-style” in a deliberate “gruesome” scene, FITSNews reported.
According to The Augusta Chronicle, the bodies were found “outside the residence, near a dog kennel,” and the coroner confirmed they died from “multiple gunshot wounds.”
Alex found the bodies at the lodge, called “Moselle,” around 10 p.m. on June 7. The victims were shot multiple times, the coroner said, reportedly with a semi-automatic assault rifle and a shotgun. He ruled the deaths a double homicide.

Cause of Death
Murdaugh, 53, was shot Saturday on Salkehatchie Road in Hampton County, his lawyer Jim Griffin told the local paper, The Island Packet.
Police sources told WCBD-TV in South Carolina that Murdaugh had been shot in the head.
Alex Murdaugh was going to Charleston when he had car trouble and stopped, said Griffin, who told the outlet he’d spoken with another Murdaugh family member about the incident.
