Beau was last seen outside a home in Saks Lexus on Wednesday. He was playing with his family, WFSA reported. At some point he disappeared and, when he realized his departure, his family reported him missing. According to the store, hundreds of volunteers went in search of the boy, which included the use of a helicopter and drone.
Death and Cause
“The body of 5-year-old Beau Belsen was found in a pond adjacent to the home from where she was reported missing by the MSP Marine Services team shortly afternoon this afternoon,” the update wrote. “The MSP Lakeview Post and Sixth District Detectives will continue their investigation.”
ABC News, Lt. Commander Kevin Sweeney, also confirmed the child’s death during a press conference Thursday.

Belsen, who has autism, was last seen wearing his pyjamas, shoes and jacket. According to the Associated Press, a significant drop in temperature overnight has raised concerns for their safety.
Although no cause of death has yet been announced, authorities said their death was not known suspicious, according to the WFSA. However, they will investigate the baby’s demise.
