Benjamin was found at a property in Kettering along with Maddie Durdant-Hollamby, on Friday, police said. Officers rushed to an address on Slate Drive at around 1 pm after a report of concern for welfare.

There they tragically found two bodies, with the incident now being treated by detectives as a murder-suicide. Northamptonshire Police say they believe Maddie was murdered and that she and Benjamin were in a relationship. The force is not seeking anyone else about the incident.

Police Statement

Police said no arrests had been made, and they are not looking for anyone else in connection with their inquiries. According to a statement released on Saturday, they believe that the deaths happened in a “contained incident”.

On Sunday, Maddie’s family said in a statement: “We are devastated at the loss of Maddie, our beautiful daughter, sister, granddaughter and niece.

“Our hearts are broken, and we cannot begin to imagine life without her. The shock and pain we are feeling are indescribable. “She was a beautiful person both inside and out, who loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends.

“Maddie was a kind, caring, thoughtful young woman, who touched the lives of everyone she met. “A talented dancer, her creative talent continued through school and into her career in marketing. Her life has been sadly cut short just as her career was blossoming. “Our thoughts are with everybody who knew and loved Maddie as much as we did.”

Specially-trained officers are supporting her family from the force’s central crime investigation team.
