Charlie Elphicke Charged With Sexual Assault

The Conservative MP, Charlie Elphicke has been charged with three counts of sexual assault relating to two women.

The Dover MP is accused of committing the first offense in 2007 against one complainant, the other two offenses against the second complaint in 2016.

In November 2017, Elphicke was suspended from the Conservative party after allegations made against him were referred to the police.

on 12 December 2018, the MP had the Conservative whip reinstated before a confidence vote in Theresa May.

The Crown Prosecution Service has today charged Charles Elphicke, MP for Dover, with three charges of sexual assault against two women.

The CPS decided to charge Mr. Elphicke after reviewing a file of evidence from the Metropolitan police.

Mr. Elphicke has denied any unlawful act, he’s completely confident of clearing his name. His solicitor said he would fight the charges boldly.
