Daniel Miner is a 43-years-old man, who declared missing from the Childersburg Work Release Center about 9:30 p.m. Saturday. He is serving life in prison with the possibility of parole sentence on a murder charge for his role in the shooting death of Edward Lee Williams during a 1993 robbery in Marshall County.

Daniel Miner is a convicted murderer in Marshall County, escaped from his Childersburg Work Release Center Saturday night. Alabama Department of Corrections officials say at 8:45 p.m. on the night of his escape, there was an institutional bed count roster. They said at 9:30 p.m. during the bed roster count, the whereabouts of Miner was unknown.
He was convicted of murder in 1994 and sentence to life in prison with the possibility of parole. According to The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, Miner was convicted of a murder in that county. The Childersburg facility is a minimum-security institution.
