Evan had been missing since December 17. Lacey’s family last saw him when he said he was headed to work. Lacey never showed up at his job and hasn’t been seen since. His phone had been turned off and there have been no sightings of him.

Lacey’s father, Van Lacey, told in an interview that his last interaction with his son was a hug. Van Lacey said, “He said, ‘Dad I’m off to work,’ gave me a hug like he always does. And I said, ‘Have a good day.’

Lacey’s family said, his car, a 2006 blue Dodge Magnum, was found in Fort Worth on December 21. Lacey’s family said that the teenager had recently spoken about possibly selling his car.
