Police investigation
Police said the divers recovered a campfire swimming cap from a pool pump, but investigators did not find anything wrong with the pool, which has since reopened.
A spokeswoman for the Spanish Civil Guard told the BBC that because the pool was so small, the lifeguards were “not necessary” so there was no one there. The British Foreign Office said it was assisting a British woman in Spain who was thought to be the mother of children.
