Harris, an infantryman with the 1st Squadron, 89th Cavalry Regiment, joined the Army in March 2019. The Tennessee native was posthumously promoted to corporal and awarded the Army Commendation Medal, which honors soldiers for their heroic action, achievements, or service.
He also earned several awards and decorations, including the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Army Service Ribbon.
Mellish was additionally accused of third-degree concealment of proof. Harris, 20, was discovered shot to death and covered under snow in a lush region of Byram Township on Dec. 19. Quickly before his passing, Harris had been accounted for missing.

Mellish is being held in military care in New York forthcoming removal to New Jersey. It’s not satisfactory whether he has a lawyer.
The young person is being held in an adolescent detainment community. Byram police and the examiner’s office have not said how the high schooler was supposedly included.
