Mario Henderson was a former NFL offensive lineman an American football offensive tackle. He has died on October 21st according to Lehigh Senior High School football coach James Chaney.
He spent the first four years of his career with the Oakland Raiders, after being selected from Florida State in the 2007 NFL Draft. On March 17, 2011, Henderson was arrested in Fort Myers for the charge of carrying a concealed firearm.

Earlier Life & Career
Henderson was born on October 29, 1984, in Fort Myers, Florida. He originally attended Bishop Verot High School in Fort Myers, FL. Henderson was a 375-pound freshman who’d never played football. His first year of football was his Senior year.
After his sophomore year, Henderson transferred to Lehigh Senior High School. Due to transfer rules, he was not able to play during his junior year.
He used that time to change his physique and, in his senior year, earned a scholarship to Florida State University.
In his senior year, he averaged 28 points per game and 14 rebounds and was 1st team all-state and 1st team all-county as a member of the Lehigh Senior basketball team.
Henderson stepped in as a rookie and appeared at left tackle, and starting with the 2008 season, he became the Raiders’ full-time starter at the position. Henderson signed a one-year deal with the Chargers in Spring, 2012 but was released towards the end of training camp.
The 6’7″, 333-pound Henderson spent the first four years of his career with the Oakland Raiders after being selected from Florida State University in the 2007 NFL Draft. He played with the Raiders until 2010 before signing a one-year deal with the San Diego Chargers in 2012. He was released during training camp and went on to play with various teams in the UFL and AFL.

Cause of Death
Mario Henderson has passed away on 21st October. He was just 35 years old, a few days shy of his 36th birthday on Oct. 29. So far, details are pretty scarce about what happened to Henderson. James Chaney, a former Florida State defensive tackle and now the head coach at Henderson’s alma mater Lehigh Senior High School broke the news on Twitter moments ago.
