YOU star Mark Blum has died at age 69 from coronavirus complications. He was an American actor in movies, on television, and on the stage. He was born on May 14, 1950, in Newark, New Jersey.
Blum was best known for his work in the Australian outback film, as well as his role as Union Bob on Amazon’s Mozart in the Jungle and as Mr Mooney on Lifetime-turned-Netflix’s You. Most recently, Blum had roles on various TV shows, including Almost Family, Succession and The Good Fight.

Education and Career
Mark Blum graduated from Columbia High School in Maplewood, New Jersey in 1968 and was inducted into the school’s hall of fame in 2012. Blum was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.
He started acting on stage in the 1970s. In the 1980s, he acted in these movies: Lovesick (1983), Desperately Seeking Susan (1985), Just Between Friends (1986), Crocodile Dundee (1986), Blind Date (1987), and The Presidio (1988).
He won an Obie Award for his performance as Al in the Playwrights Horizons production of Albert Innaurato’s play. In 2013, he appeared as Max in the Primary Stages production of The Model Apartment. Blum currently is on the faculty of HB Studio in New York City
In 2018, Blum was cast in a recurring role as Ivan Mooney in the former Lifetime thriller series, You. On 3 December 2018, it was announced that You would move to Netflix as a “Netflix Original” title, ahead of the premiere of the second season.

Janet Zarish is an American actress known for her work in television, movies and the theatre. She is Associate Arts Professor and Head of Acting of the Graduate Acting Program at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She received her B.F.A. at The Juilliard School under John Houseman.
