Robert Needham was a 42-years-old builder from Woodmancote, who killed with his wife Kelly Fitzgibbons and children Ava, and Lexi.
Mr Needham owned a company called Needham Building Services which specialised in domestic construction, but this was dissolved last October. Since then he had been building an extension for his family after moving back into his mother’s home.

Murdered
The bodies of Needham his wife, children and a pet dog were found on Sunday 29 March 2020. Police have begun a murder inquiry but said it was thought to be an isolated incident contained to one property. It has been suggested that Mr Needham may have killed his family before taking his own life. Their horrifying deaths come just days after the family posted touching pictures of them enjoying a country walk together.
Investigation Report
Chief Superintendent Jerry Westerman from Sussex Police said: “This is believed to be an isolated incident contained to one property and in these early stages of the investigation we are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident. “Our thoughts are with the family at this incredibly difficult and challenging time.”
A murder investigation began after police were called to Duffield Lane in Woodmancote near Chichester on Sunday. Detectives are not seeking anyone else in connection with the matter and described it as an isolated incident.
A post-mortem examination has not yet taken place and police have not commented on the nature of their deaths. The body of a pet dog was also found at the house, police said.
