Savannah Adams was a 5-year-old Georgia girl, found dead in her southwest Atlanta home. She described as gentle and loving by those who knew her was found dead, and the man entrusted to care for her is behind bars. Her cause of death has not yet been determined.
Capt. D’Andrea Price of the Atlanta police said she had “substantial bruising.”
“It was a horrible death. I actually didn’t sleep that well that night from seeing her,” Price, who responded to the 911 call, told WSB-TV. “You could basically see the visible bruising to her body and her face.”

Savannah Adams Suspect (Ethan Gathright)
On Tuesday, investigators obtained an arrest warrant for 22-year-old Ethan Gathright, who lived at the home with Adams. A family member left the girl in Gathright’s care when she left for work and discovered her body when she returned.
Gathright, a convicted felon who served time in prison after he was convicted for a string of violent robberies targeting women across DeKalb and Fulton counties, didn’t wait around but police eventually caught up with him, arresting him on a gun charge. He’s now charged with murder.
Gathright was convicted and sentenced to prison for multiple violent robberies of women in the Atlanta area in 2014, WSB-TV reports. According to station 2, he was paroled in 2018 and began probation in August.

Staff members of the Head Start program Adams attended have set up a GoFundMe page to help the family with burial and other expenses. As of Thursday afternoon, donors had contributed nearly $2,000 toward a $10,000 goal.
