In 2020, Gelael will leave Prema by joining reigning FIA Formula 2 teams’ champion DAMS for replacing Sérgio Sette Câmara. Gelael will be joined by the Briton Dan Ticktum, who competed in the 2019 Super Formula Championship for the first three races.
