Tay-K Bio: He is an American rapper and songwriter. Tay-K is best known for his hit song “The Race”, which charted on the US Billboard Hot 100 following McIntyre’s arrest in Elizabeth, New Jersey, after a nationwide manhunt for murder.

He was born on 16 June 2000 in Long Beach, California. his full name is Taymor Travon McIntyre.

His father, Kevin Beverly, who was born in Compton, California, and later moved to Hampton, Virginia, was a member of the Baby Insane Crips gang in the Long Beach area.

Beverly was imprisoned during McIntyre’s youth. McIntyre’s mother, who was a gang member under the Bloods, moved him and his sister to Las Vegas, Nevada, when he was eight years old.

When McIntyre’s father was released from prison, he moved the family to Arlington, Texas, in search of a better environment.

McIntyre started his rap career as part of the rap group Daytona Boyz alongside rappers Pimpyz and Santana Sage.

The song, along with Wali Da Great which was released on November 2015, garnered local attention within the Arlington rap scene.

McIntyre released several songs while on the run from the police, including “The Race” which was recorded during McIntyre’s stay in New Jersey and the music video was released on YouTube two weeks before his capture.

McIntyre’s debut mixtape Santana World was re-released by 88 Classic and RCA Records, which was updated with a remix of his single “The Race” featuring vocals from rappers 21 Savage and Young Nudy.

It was revealed on March 2018 that McIntyre had earned around $600,000 to $700,000 with his record deal with 88 Classic.

Robbery and Capital Murder Charges

Rapper Tay-K has pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated robbery and not guilty to capital murder and another robbery charge in Texas court today.

In pleading guilty to the primary robbery counts, the rapper, who came to prominence through his viral rap song “The Race” in 2017, has established his presence at the crime scene of a 2016 home invasion in Mansfield, Texas.

21-year-old Ethan Walker was shot dead and his 19-year-old roommate Zachary Beloate was severely injured from a shot to the arm. The rapper was 16 at the time of the incident.

Tay-K’s companion Latharian Merritt was found guilty of murder for Walker’s shooting and sentenced to life in prison in March of 2018.

the other defendants in the case have also been found guilty or taken pleas in separate court proceedings.

He is still awaiting trial for two other alleged crimes that occurred in Texas after the rapper escaped house arrest in March 2017.

He has been incarcerated since July 2017, when he was arrested in New Jersey a month after the release of “The Race” a song which chronicles his escape from the law, and its incriminating accompanying music video.
